Loved meeting a lot of new vendors and said hello to some old friends. All in all, it was a great way to spend the day and I'm thrilled to be a part of such a creative and vibrant community!

Life is blissful. Ginger is going to be 20 months on Christmas Day - where has the time gone? I'm loving beinga mom and she is turning into quite the little sidekick I always dreamed to have.

Hoping everyone is well and promise to check in here and there. In the meanwhile, feel free to follow me on Pinterest. I'm usually found there with whatever free time I have to share new ideas.

So excited to announce our latest wedding is up on Green Wedding Shoes today! The bride, Jillian actually found me after emailing Jenny, the editor there for Event Designers in the NYC area and I'm so glad she did.

From the moment I met Jillian, planning and bringing her ideas to life was truely one of my favorite events ever. She was obsessed with everything vintage, especially when it came to garden accents and Anthropologie! Were we destined to meet or what??

Here's just a few of the amazing photos - I promised to post some more in the coming weeks! Special thanks to my partners in this event, the floral team at Quatre Coeur. Ruth and Amanda were instrumental in planning all the beautiful details of this event from day one. It was a true collaboration between their team and mine!

Letterpress printed on 660gsm Crane Lettra Pearl White Stock in 3 PMS colors. I paired the final announcements with coordinating color envelopes from Paper-Source. Half of our address list is getting Poppy Envelopes and the other half is getting Pool Envelopes.

Especially in love with how the overlap turned out! Hoping to have the opportunity to do more 3-color jobs in the future. These were so much fun to work on and a great way to welcome our little lady into the world!

P.S. Since so many people have asked, here's the font we used for her name. It's called Breathe Pro.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that John and I are parents and responsible for this angel. She's completely perfect and we're both so smitten. It's amazing to know how much having a child will not only test your limits as an individual but also strengthen you as a couple. I love the fact that I have a family of my own - actually I can't get over how amazing and cool that part is.

I can't wait for Ginger to get a little bit bigger so I can start teaching her things but I'm loving how tiny and small she is right now. It's bliss being a mom and definitely one of the hardest jobs I've ever had.

Hope to be around a little more but will keep posting pretty light until I'm 100% back up and running in late August / early September.

For those of us "in the know" PicClick offers a hyped up search engine for Etsy (and eBay and a host of other sites). I'm obsessed with it.

Anyhow, last night I feel like I stumbled upon something really unique, these Embroidered Spool Escort Cards by Etsy seller Lelise

I'm really into vintage spools right now - I bought a large lot a month or so back and used them to display my paper goods at the Wedding Crashers Show.

Figured to share a little DIY Tutorial on how to make these small beauties into card holders. They are perfect to use for place cards or even table number signs. Just remember that they can be top heavy so if you intend to use heavy paper stock, go for larger spools or just weigh them down.

Vintage Wooden Spool Card Holders

Materials:

• Assorted vintage spools
• Memo pins
• Hot glue gun + glue sticks
• Coins

Directions:

1. Assemble your materials: wooden spool lots can be found inexpensively on Etsy and eBay.
2. The memo pins come very tightly wound so if you are using heavy weight paper, you may need to loosen them up a little. I used an old credit card / gift card inserted into the top wire and it worked like a charm.
3. Prep your spools: clean up loose ends and use a small piece of masking tape on the bottom to stop the glue from oozing out
4. Pop a bit of glue into the top of the spool and insert the memo pin. They work best when they are left slightly above the spool. (I used golf pencils to hold the pins in place).
5. When glue is dry, turn each spool over and glue on a coin that fits to the bottom. No need to worry, you can easily remove the coins later. I found nickels and quarters worked best!
6. Enjoy!

This year the theme is Vintage Carnival, so you can expect to see some really remarkable ideas and have a chance to nibble on some carnival-related goodies like candy apples and cotton candy!!

Somebody needs to pinch me really hard because we were lucky enough to be asked to share some photos of our apartment on Design*Sponge today. The post went live a couple of hours ago and we've been overwhelmed with the great responses and comments so far!

John and I are pretty excited (to say the least!) Thanks to the amazing Sneak Peek editor, Anne and Grace for featuring our home. It's an honor!!

In the end, all the decor cost a little under $500 (minus flowers and the centerpieces) and their paper goods came in just around $550.
