We sold our old apartment, took on a HUGE renovation of a new apartment and are finally trying to get ourselves settled and up and running in a new space.</p>
<p>Life is blissful. Ginger is going to be 20 months on Christmas Day - where has the time gone? I'm loving beinga mom and she is turning into quite the little sidekick I always dreamed to have.</p>

The bride, Jillian actually found me after emailing Jenny, the editor there for Event Designers in the NYC area and I'm so glad she did.</p>
<p><span class="full-image-block ssNonEditable"><span><img src="http://www.inspiredgoodness.com/storage/susan-wedding-06.jpg?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1316189807955" alt="" /></span></span><br />From the moment I met Jillian, planning and bringing her ideas to life was truely one of my favorite events ever. She was obsessed with everything vintage, especially when it came to garden accents and Anthropologie! Were we destined to meet or what??</p>
<p><span class="full-image-block ssNonEditable"><span><img src="http://www.inspiredgoodness.com/storage/susan-wedding-10.jpg?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1316189906013" alt="" /></span></span></p>
<p>Here's just a few of the amazing photos - I promised to post some more in the coming weeks! Special thanks to my partners in this event, the floral team at <a href="http://www.quatrecoeur.com/" target="_blank"><strong>Quatre Coeur</strong></a>. Ruth and Amanda were instrumental in planning all the beautiful details of this event from day one. It was a true collaboration between their team and mine!</p>

Or should I say <em>any post</em> is way overdue. Sorry to drop out the past month but things have been very busy in our world. Our daughter, Ginger Lucia Canale, was born on April 25th and it's been amazing ever since.<span class="thumbnail-image-block ssNonEditable"><span><a href="javascript:showFullImage('/display/ShowImage?imageUrl=%2Fstorage%2FBA_GINGER_BA_FINAL.jpg%3F__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION%3D1305646718841',700,700);"><img src="http://www.inspiredgoodness.com/storage/thumbnails/3503386-12259907-thumbnail.jpg?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1305646718841" alt="" /></a></span></span></p>
<p>I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that John and I are parents and responsible for this angel. She's completely perfect and we're both so smitten. It's amazing to know how much having a child will not only test your limits as an individual but also strengthen you as a couple. I love the fact that I have a family of my own - actually I can't get over how amazing and cool that part is.</p>
<p><span class="full-image-block ssNonEditable"><span><img src="http://www.inspiredgoodness.com/storage/Picture 1.png?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1305646777174" alt="" /></span></span></p>
<p>I can't wait for Ginger to get a little bit bigger so I can start teaching her things but I'm loving how tiny and small she is right now. It's bliss being a mom and definitely one of the hardest jobs I've ever had.</p>
<p><span class="thumbnail-image-block ssNonEditable"><span><a href="javascript:showFullImage('/display/ShowImage?imageUrl=%2Fstorage%2Fginger_lucia.jpg%3F__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION%3D1305647118861',323,800);"><img src="http://www.inspiredgoodness.com/storage/thumbnails/3503386-12259935-thumbnail.jpg?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1305647118863" alt="" /></a></span></span></p>
<p>Feel free to follow <a class="offsite-link-inline" href="http://gingerlucia.tumblr.com/" target="_blank">Ginger's Tumblr page</a> for updates and daily discoveries. She's 3 weeks and 1 day old today and I can't believe how much time is flying by already.</p>

I've been obsessed with looking for cool ideas and projects on Etsy via PicClick, which if you don't know about it yet, need to stop reading <em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">right this second</span> </em>and <a href="http://picclick.com/Etsy/" target="_blank">click on over.</a></p>
<p>For those of us "in the know" <a href="http://picclick.com/" target="_blank">PicClick</a> offers a hyped up search engine for Etsy (and eBay and a host of other sites). I'm obsessed with it.</p>
<p><span class="full-image-block ssNonEditable"><img src="http://www.inspiredgoodness.com/storage/embroideredSpools.jpg?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1300380789745" alt="" /></span></p>
<p>Anyhow, last night I feel like I stumbled upon something really unique, these <strong><a href="http://www.etsy.com/listing/63999506/vintage-spool-escort-cards" target="_blank">Embroidered Spool Escort Cards </a></strong>by Etsy seller <a href="http://www.etsy.com/people/lelise?ref=ls_profile" target="_blank">Lelise</a></p>
<p>I'm really into vintage spools right now - I bought a large lot a month or so back and used them to display my paper goods at the <a href="http://www.inspiredgoodness.com/blog/2011/2/28/wedding-crashers-2011-recap.html">Wedding Crashers Show</a>.</p>
<p><span class="full-image-block ssNonEditable"><img src="http://www.inspiredgoodness.com/storage/spools_inprogress.jpg?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1300381324733" alt="" /></span></p>
<p>Figured to share a little DIY Tutorial on how to make these small beauties into card holders. They are perfect to use for place cards or even table number signs. Just remember that they can be top heavy so if you intend to use heavy paper stock, go for larger spools or just weigh them down.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong style="font-size: 120%;">Vintage Wooden Spool Card Holders</strong></p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Materials:</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>Assorted vintage spools</li>
<li><a href="http://shop.hobbylobby.com/store/item.aspx?ItemId=144867" target="_blank">Memo pins</a></li>
<li>Hot glue gun + glue sticks</li>
<li>Coins</li>
</ul>
<p><span class="full-image-block ssNonEditable"><span><img src="http://www.inspiredgoodness.com/storage/spools_IG.jpg?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1300382126879" alt="" /></span></span></p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Directions:</strong></span></p>
<ol>
<li> Assemble your materials: <em>wooden spool lots can be found inexpensively on Etsy and eBay. </em></li>
<li>The memo pins come very tightly wound so if you are using heavy weight paper, you may need to loosen them up a little. I used an old credit card / gift card inserted into the top wire and it worked like a charm.</li>
<li>Prep your spools: clean up loose ends and use a small piece of masking tape on the bottom to stop the glue from oozing out</li>
<li>Pop a bit of glue into the top of the spool and insert the memo pin. They work best when they are left slightly above the spool. (I used golf pencils to hold the pins in place).</li>
<li>When glue is dry, turn each spool over and glue on a coin that fits to the bottom. No need to worry, you can easily remove the coins later. I found nickels and quarters worked best!</li>
<li>Enjoy!</li>
</ol>
