This year the theme is Vintage Carnival, so you can expect to see some really remarkable ideas and have a chance to nibble on some carnival-related goodies like candy apples and cotton candy!!

Wedding Crashers 2011 Recap

In case you didn't make it out this weekend to the Wedding Crashers Show at The Bell House, you're in for some beautiful eye candy. There were so many cool Brooklyn couples in attendance - we enjoyed meeting lots of great brides and grooms to be!

For my table display, I used a mixture of old books, containers and wooden spools to prop up my work.

I totally heart all of Nine Cakes work, it's so approachable and understated, just the way I think wedding cakes should be!!

design*sponge Sneak Peek!

Somebody needs to pinch me really hard because we were lucky enough to be asked to share some photos of our apartment on Design*Sponge today. The post went live a couple of hours ago and we've been overwhelmed with the great responses and comments so far!

John and I are pretty excited (to say the least!) Thanks to the amazing Sneak Peek editor, Anne and Grace for featuring our home. It's an honor!!

studio closed 2/14 - 2/20

Hi there everyone! Just wanted to spread the word the studio will be closed this week. We're heading out to Turks & Caicos for a nice relaxing Babymoon holiday and I can't wait to sink my feet into the sand!!

Real Wedding featured on Broke Ass Bride

If you don't follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you might have missed my announcement earlier in the week. Dana La Rue, the adorable and funny editor of The Broke Ass Bride is featuring a full week of recaps from our Lucky in Love Wedding of Marquina & Dan. We spend months working with the couple to create a carefully laid out plan of decorations and paper goods that needed to be economical but still beautiful.

In the end, all the decor cost a little under $500 (minus flowers and the centerpieces) and their paper goods came in just around $550.

Post 1 covers the ceremony and has a great DIY Tutorial on how to make your own Chuppah or Wedding Canopy for under $200!

Post 2 covers the reception, which was primarily decorated with rolls and rolls and rolls of ribbon plus the Tissue Paper Garlands I featured a few months back.
