June 28, 2010 brooklyn inspired wedding stationery
Last week I had the pleasure to meet owner of Park Slope stationery store, Lion in the Sun. Melinda Morris has run this local offshoot of her parent's company since 2002. As a collector and obsessive stationery collector, I am no stranger to Lion in the Sun, but after meeting Melinda and talking about her shop, I'm so excited to know a lot more about her and her offerings.
Later in the week, I popped in for a chat with Melinda and met Nicole Block of Nic Events who recently launched a ready-to-order wedding line, available exclusively at Lion in the Sun. I completely fell in love with her work - both as a paper lover and someone who is smitten with all things Brooklyn, these pieces evoke the essence and adoration for my local area.

In addition to custom stationery, Lion in the Sun has a really well edited range of cards, gift wrap, interesting gifts and other paper goods. And if you're a bride looking for something very Brooklyn specific, I assure that Nic's new line will not disappoint.

A great find! And don't overlook that Lion In The Sun also has a store in Huntington, Long Island, for those long island brides that can't make it into Brooklyn or prefer the trip out to long island instead. I refer all my brides to them, they feature the most extensive line of wedding invitations and stationery I've ever seen all in one place.
Very unique designs! Love it!
