Weekend Recap

I hope everyone had a nice long holiday weekend. We got a chance to see friends at a nice relaxing picnic on Saturday and (many sandwiches and cups of rum punch later), we headed up to our new place to scope out the firework situation. We're incredibally lucky to have a great view - of Jersey City, Red Hook and Lower Manhattan, and if Macys had not decided to move this year's setup to the Hudson, it would have been ideal.

Some of the high sparks from Macys and hundreds of rogue set offs around Brooklyn and behind The Statue of Liberty made it so exciting!!

On Sunday, we made a pretty good dent into packing up our things. It's a little crazy, yes, to pack a whole 4 weeks before we move out, but as you might now the next few weeks are going to be hectic with getting all the materials and projects completed for the the wedding we're designing on August 1st. We've just send the programs, cocktail napkins and dessert bags off to print. (love checking things off my to do list!!). We've got just a few more projects left for the wedding, including; goccing the out of town gable boxes, misc signage, place cards (can't wait to show off these, they are sure to knock your socks off!!)

Also had some extra time to design a birth announcement and thank you card set for my nephew, Wyatt. Cute right?!?

It's been total insanity trying to get our budget and project scope for the renovation of our new apartment decided, but we've finally made some big progress. We choose the contractor!!

Stay tuned for later in the week - I have some sketches and little inspiration boards for the apartment that I'd love to share with you!
