June 10, 2009 Brooklyn Pop-Up Wedding Event: The Recap
Hope you are not yet sick of the numerous announcements about the Wedding Library's pop-up wedding series I took part in last weekend, but here's where it all pays off (promise!!)

When I first read about the event, I emailed a lot of the involved parties - in hopes to lend a hand with the series. Little did I ever imagine that Claudia Hanlin of the Wedding Library would invite me to show some of my work and offer local brides a chance to see all that makes Inspired Goodness so unique.
The girls from Ice Cream Social, Jenn and Mary, were also there to showcase their work and offer a sweet treat of cold Ice Cream for the brides-to-be.

Around the storefront, there was so much wonderful work on display - including this Crane Chandelier by the Wedding Co....

beautiful invitations by Dauphine Press, Mr. Boddington's Studio, Ceci New York...

antique hankies with beautiful phrases by Bird & Banner...

personalized gifts like this salt and pepper shaker set by Dabney Lee...

I totally wanted to walk off with this incredible cake made of paper by the wonderful D Sharp and Tinsel Trading Company...

plus I fell in love with the many glorous pieces from Paloma's Nest - my favorite of which is shown below:

And lastly, here's the work that I brought to display:

the matchbook style notebooks I created as giveaways, new business cards and a mini-candy display

more of the goodies on display, these include an out of town package for wedding guest where all the inside pieces are Brooklyn inspired. Included in the mix are Mast Brothers Chocolates, Brooklyn Gum, a book of essays about Brooklyn, a local map, Gorilla Coffee and beer from Brooklyn Brewery.

I loved this I Heart BKLYN Save the Date and chocolate bar wrapper. Both were created specially for this event.

And here's two of the out of town baskets I made for kids. The one at left take a cue from everyone's favorite - the F Train to Brooklyn. All the inside pieces were orange to compliment the train line color.
The one at right takes cues from the lively colors at Coney Island. Included in each were some tasty treats, colored pencils, small toys and sidewalk chalk (an essential part of Brooklyns toop sales and lemonade stands!) Plus I created a Coney Island Cyclone Save the Date and matching water bottle labels.
