May 29, 2009 IG Tip: Standard Paper & Envelope Sizes
We're working on so many simultaneous projects at Inspired Goodness and that I needed to whip up a quick cheat sheet of standard envelope and card sizes to help muddle through the options.
When working on any new project that eventually will be sent through the mail in an envelope, I always ensure there's an envelope available in my chosen size before selecting what size card/invite to design. Paper and cards are available in so many sizes, weights and colors - the selection is truly endless, but envelopes are a totally different story.
In fact, we've had to modify designs so many times - when an matching envelope just wasn't available in our desired size. (Ugh!!)
So to help avoid all that, and hopefully valuable to all you DIYers out, here's a PDF with the most common sizes available in envelopes and cards. We usually purchase our paper from Paper-Source, Paper Presentation and our envelopes usually come from Envelope Mall.
