The Home Stretch

2 more days

Two more days and I am a married lady!  To say that the week leading up to your wedding is hectic is an understatement!  Luckily, I didn't procrastinate and only have programs to tackle.  It's really surreal that after a year and a half of planning... it...is...here!

A while back I talked about my quest for green shoes.  I DID find them, but am a little apprehensive about the color... especially for our church ceremony.  So, I complied with the wedding Gods, and purchased some ivory shoes.  However, I couldn't just leave them as is.  I found this great tutorial on making satin ribbon flowers which I would add to the shoe.  VERY SIMPLE, cheap, and it adds a nice touch!  (and yes, I will still wear the green shoes for the reception)

Voila!  I just attached it with a few stitches and it's tightly secured.  The tutorial runs through quick directions.  All you need is a roll of ribbon and some thread.  Easy peasy :)

It has been a pleasure sharing this planning process with you.  I advise all brides to be to relax, enjoy this planning period, and don't sweat the small stuff.  I am currently taking my own advice :)

I will be back in a few weeks with photos and recaps.  The beaches of Oahu and Kauai are calling our names!
