Indie Wed: The Inspiration Board

It looks like I've been keeping you in the dark about a big project we're working on here at IG. We're taking part in Indie Wed, a wedding show and craft fair coming up in just a few weeks in Chicago, on January 30th.

Here's a little synopsis of what you'll find there:

Indie Wed caters to unconventional couples who are taking a more modern, edgy, or eco-friendly approach to their special day as well as the more conservative couples who simply want to add some special touches. The event will highlight the work of local independent designers specializing in various wedding related fields including stationery, cakes & pastries, fashion, catering, floral design and photography.

I'll be there showcasing a custom designed wedding tablescape (developed especially for the occasion) and coordinating paper goods. If you are in Chicago or just have friends in the windy city, please be sure to spread the news that we are coming to town.

To give you a hint of what we're working on, I put together this little inspiration board to showcase the design plan:

From L to R: candle holder from Anthropologie, metallic linen from B&J Fabrics, poppy & cream crepe paper, "October" collage by A Field Journal, water glass by Anthropologie, Fudog from Pearl River, kraft paper favors by Martha Stewart found on i-Do-it-Yourself, blue and marigold fabric from Purl Soho, doiliey crafts from Country Living, more metallic linen from B&J Fabrics, brass candle holder from Jamali Garden, and soon to be mine vintage silverware from etsy seller Vintage Butterfly94

Be sure to check out the complete list of vendors and book your tickets soon. And if you are attending the show, stop on by and say HELLO!!

Kimberly, I love your idea for INDIEWED. How can a vendor (such as myself) get involved in the discussion. or have
work featured. I create custom invitation BOOKS that build a sentimental story and have a pull out invitation in the back pocket.
I'd love to share some designs with you for publishing on your blog. How can I send you some design photos?

Hi Kim,

I'm pretty sure Indie Wed is now closed to vendors but if you're in the Chicago area you can still get tickets directly from their website: http://www.indiewed.com

If you'd like to send photos of your work, please email them to info (at) inspiredgoodness (dot) com

Thanks!
