Cookie Decorating Station

Our friend's Dave and Matthew invited us over for a little tree trimming party this past Sunday and I just wanted to share their brilliant party idea - a DIY cookie decorating station.

A table was filled with icing, dragrees and other candy decorations, all from the Cake and Bake shop in Manhattan. Paired with mounds of sugar cookies cut into all different shapes, each guest took turns decorating. And since the station was set up next to a cheese and veggie plate, some of those items made it into the final pieces - á la Mr. Broccoli fro in the center.

Throughout the night, everyone took turns placing ornaments and tinsel on their Christmas tree. I loved the collaborative results, don't you?

Looks like a lot of fun! What's up with the bikini angels though? LOL

Ha ha - it was a pretty silly crowd Olivia. Everyone went a little renegade on the decorating!

I love these Christmas cookie decorating ideas (esp. the Coco Channel!). I recently had this cute little idea for a party cookie experience. You could really use it any time, but I think I'm going to go ahead and go the un-traditional Christmas cookie route next year: Custom Fortune Cookies. I'm thinking about putting in little snippets of Christmas songs that the guests will have to sing when they read them! Just thought I'd share (even though it's out of season!).
