One of our sweet readers, Cara from Chicago sent me some images from her wedding day last November and all her D.I.Y. projects we're too cute not to share. Cara created the programs, cake topper, centerpieces, ring bearer "boxes", AND her invitations all by herself!!II
The ceremony was held in the couple's hometown of Springfield,
Illinois with a reception that followed at a local B+B, featuring a DJ
and a jazz band. Of course, this duo danced the night away, starting
with a foxtrot to Natalie Cole's song, L-O-V-E. How romantic!
One great detail this crafty bride mentioned was how the ring bearers
carried boxes that contained toys, as opposed to the actual rings -
which I'm sure made for a quite the surprise to those adorable little
ring bearers. One of my very favorite aspects of this wedding has to be
the color palette. Ranging from barn reds, to woodsy browns, with a bit
of yellow and green splashed in for accent, the colors really add such
depth to the images and give this wedding a very all-american,
wholesome flavor. This feels so classic and timeless and I love the
photo of all Cara's bridesmaids in brown against the red church.
Everything just pops!
Make sure to stay tuned for more of Cara's goodies. Maybe we can convince her to share with us a few details of those beautiful projects she created for her wedding day!
