Weekend Recap: Red Hook and some New Reusable Bags

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!!

We had a visit from my In-laws and took them on a whirlwind tour of Brooklyn. From the esplanade that has cropped up in Red Hook, we took a long walk on Saturday with a well-deserved stop at Steve's Authentic Key Lime Pie for some sour-packed treats, had lunch at the Fairway Cafe and saw plenty of crafty wares along the waterfront, not to mention an informative and helpful stop at Liberty Sunset Garden Center - which in addition to having some amazingly well-maintained plants, hosts an invitation only dinner cooked by chefs on staff on Saturday evenings. To sign up, just visit LGC and sign their guest book with a note next to your email address "DINNER". Can't wait for that invite!!

I hope any of you Brooklyn locals have the chance to explore this area sometime soon. It is such a wonderful addition to our neighborhood!

Now that the week is in full swing and we're back to our busy lives, how about we all do our part to keep things looking beautiful by purchasing these eco-friendly totes by Baggu. With such an amazing array of pretty colors - don't you just want one of each? Me too...
